Interested in becoming a registered license-not-required (LNR) child care provider?

LNR care providers may care for up to two children in their home, in addition to their own children.

By registering with a Child Care Resource and Referral program, LNR care providers can access support, information, training, and resources to enhance the quality of their child care program. Registration requirements* include:

• minimum of 19 years of age
• criminal records check
• valid first aid certificate or proof of registration
• completion of a self-evaluation and informal interview
• three character references
• doctor's note
• health and safety home assessment
• Family Child Care Training or equivalent (a minimum of 20 hours of training)
• commitment to ongoing professional development
